2011 Round up

Posted: 08/12/2011

From a purely physical point of view this has been a very busy year. We finally obtained permission to erect the new covered school and what a bonus that has been for both us and all our clients. More space, better environment and, of course, improved safety. However, it wasn`t until we turned on the new lights to the new covered arena roof, that we realised how dingy and dated the lights in the `old` school had become. So, we replaced them to match! We also put 16 tonnes of rubber down on the surface. As far as we are aware, we are the only riding centre inside the M25 with two indoor schools and free access to the new school by full livery clients.

New Riding Initiatives

We are currently piloting a new initiative at the yard led by BEF and HOOF for adults riders returning to riding following a period away or wishing to start for the very first time. This initiative is  called` Take Back the Reins` (TBTR) and offers clients a six week tailored course, consisting of a weekly 90 minute session. Each session includes a lesson (the horsemastership element) followed by a discussion (the mentoring element) with cakes and drinks in the Clubroom after the hard work is done! The idea is to allow clients time to chat to their Instructor about matters equestrian and generally socialise with other course members. It has been a tremendous success with the evening riders being treated to a glass of wine as well. There`s value, as Jennifer might say.

Vouchers for the six week course are available at the office and cost £150.00

The introductory rate includes a FREE 90 minute induction!
