Mount Mascal Stables
Horsemanship for all
Our services are designed to help anyone who owns their own horse or who wishes to consider purchasing an animal.
All our horses and ponies are available for purchase. Over the years, they have achieved wonderful success in private ownership. We are delighted to offer assistance and advice in the process of securing a suitable animal and offer ‘aftercare’ support and training.
Our staff are qualified and experienced to break-in and school.
Our aim is to provide the full range of livery services delivered to the highest professional standards. Whilst our two yards retain their individual unique identity, their respective routines and procedures are in place to ensure the satisfaction and well-being of all our clients and their horses. We endeavour to accommodate any special requirement wherever possible.
Our farrier is Miic O’ Dell DipWCF. Mick has been our preferred provider for riding school equines – some 50 plus horses and ponies - since 2006. Mick visits every Tuesday and Thursday with liveries prioritised on the Thursday session. To arrange for your horse to see the farrier you need to contact Mike directly 07711501036 and then let the office know.
However, if you do wish another farrier to attend to your horse, we would politely request that you inform us in writing when they are due to visit and ask them to report to Reception on arrival. Please note, in the case of any other farrier, we are not able to offer assistance and you must ensure your farrier has any help that may be required. In the event of an emergency, for example a loose shoe, on site staff are qualified to assist in some cases.
Since 1997 our preferred veterinary practice has been Bell Equine Veterinary Clinic BEVC. BEVC has been established since 1989. It has expanded to become a large specialist equine hospital and ambulatory practice. Currently, 14 veterinary surgeons work in the practice, supported by over 20 nursing, stable and office staff.
A standard request for any livery client stabled at MMS or LMF is to complete a Veterinary Consent Form. These forms are mandatory. Please be aware that you risk unnecessary complications/delays for the welfare of your animal if these forms are not completed and returned signed to the reception.
It is of course your privilege to appoint your choice of veterinary surgeon. However, if you do wish another vet to attend to your horse, we would politely request that you inform us in writing when they are due to visit and ask them to report to Reception on arrival. Please note, in the case of any other vet, we are not able to offer any assistance and you must ensure your vet has any help that may be required.
