The equestrian industry is large and diverse and offers many different opportunities for those who want to combine their love of horses with a means to earning a living.
Job vacancies do occasionally come up at Mount Mascal Stables and Little Mascal Farm.
Plus we accept Trainee and Students on NVQ Modern Apprentices. If you want to get a recognized qualification related to a particular industry or sector, an NVQ may be for you.
BHS and ABRS Examinations are also available to train towards.

Office Receptionist Required Start - May 2013
After 8 years’ excellent service, a much respected and highly regarded member of our team is leaving us. She will be missed and we need to find someone to take on her duties. If you think you are the person to take advantage of this rare and unique equestrian opportunity, we welcome your application.
The role is the front of house, face of the business at one of the UK’s busiest and most successful equestrian centres, combining riding school and livery yard services. It is favoured that the applicant has.
Day to Day Duties include: meet & greet; dealing with new enquiries & bookings, taking messages; co-ordinating Pony Club Centre weekly timetable, holiday and other activities; livery portfolio account management, arrangements with vet, farrier, saddler, making orders & receiving deliveries, co-ordinating daily duties and staff rota for the team, human and equine.
The role is open to development and your enthusiasm. It offers great chances for your continuing professional development and training.
You will need
- At least five years’ commercial equestrian industry experience preferably within a riding school environment to including office/administration, and/or supervisory roles experience
- Excellent skills for telephone and face to face communication
- Strong customer focus with ability to deal with any member of the general public
- A consistent, firm but patient, fair and diplomatic approach
- To organise and prioritise
- An interest in our business and its development
- To understand the need for confidentiality in all matters
